Achievements

Jordan Christian School has been blessed with a dedicated staff and supportive community of parents, acquaintances, and business partners. As a result, our students are provided with numerous resources to assist them in their educational journey. Throughout their years at JCS, it is our goal to reward them for outstanding achievements and excellent diligence and so we offer three different forms of awards:

  • Honour Rolls – given to students with an average of 80% or higher with no grades under 70%
  • Diligence Record – given to students who display exceptional learning skills and work habits
  • Principal’s List – given to students who have achieved the Diligence Record and have an average of 90% or higher with no grades under 80%

As part of the Ontario Curriculum, our Grade 10 students are required to write the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test and we have been privileged to maintain vastly superior results compared to provincial standards, with an overall OSSLT student pass rate of 94.6%. Elementary students in Grades 2 through 8 also participate in the Canadian Achievement Test (CAT4), a testing system that assesses essential learning skills in reading, language, spelling, and mathematics. As shown in the graph below, our students consistently perform above Canadian Student Grade Expectations.
